The League of Dreams is a nonprofit sports league for athletes with disabilities ages 5 to 22. League of Dreams provides 11 different seasonal programs to our athletes that typically wouldn't have a chance to play sports, be on a team or wear a uniform. My name is Carlos Betancourt and I am excited to be a Shoe Guy for this year's Wine Women & Shoes benefiting the League of Dreams!

I am the current Board president for the League of Dreams and got involved many years ago when my son, David, became an athlete. My wife Amy and I have coached and been team parent for baseball and basketball seasons. 

I am the VP of Finance at Castle & Cooke. My wife of 23 years, Amy, and I have two boys, our athlete David (13) and Daniel (12). I enjoy playing tennis, spending time with family, hiking& camping, boy scouts and coaching for League of Dreams.

As a parent of an athlete and a Board member, I am grateful of the opportunity LoD provides kids to participate in organized sports and the support system it provides to the parents to watch their kids play! 

Please consider helping me reach my personal goal of $500 and our overall goal of $25,000 for the League of Dreams so that every child, like my son, can play sports, wear a uniform and be a part of a team!
